What are Sunday Mornings Like?

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16

We Worship With Music

On Sundays, you will be met by one of our greeters who will welcome you into our church. After a traditional Hymn (organ), our service is followed by contemporary worship music. Our song selections are grounded by our convictions that corporate worship music should be both melodic and theologically rich. For more on Gospel-Centered worship click here

We Worship With The Word

The apex of our service is the Gospel-centered sermon for that Sunday. Our sermons are shaped through the study of the original historical context, language, and original audience. This holistic approach to preaching protects us from reading God’s word out of context, therefore preventing us from misunderstanding the truths about God and misusing His promises in our lives.

We Respond in Worship

After the sermon, we take some time to pray for the needs of the congregation and continue with more contemporary worship to end our response to God’s Word. We end our time together with some fellowship and coffee. Our services usually end around 11:30am.

We would love to have you visit us!

If you have special needs prior to your visit, please let us know.

What About My Kids?

We believe that our children are spiritually entrusted to their families and to the church, where God calls their families to worship and serve Him.  Every week our children are served by a group of wonderful volunteers who love Jesus and love serving our children. Currently, we are in the process of recruiting new volunteers and refreshing our vision for children’s ministry. If you would like to help us in serving our children, contact us.

Next Steps?

We believe that true spiritual growth happens as we grow in the Gospel of Jesus (Eph 4:15-16) and in relationship with one another (Heb 10:24-25). If you feel led to continue in fellowship with us or to make Garwood your home church, then our pastor would love to meet you and personally share with you the heart and vision for our church.
